Ray Curtis Petty Jr.

Ray Curtis Petty Jr. is a Texas-licensed attorney whose legal career is founded on military service, leadership, and a commitment to advocating for others. Originally from Albany, Georgia, Ray is the youngest of three siblings and comes from a proud military family. His father served in the United States Marine Corps, and his brother served in the United States Army, inspiring a lifelong commitment to service.

Ray is a proud graduate of the “Unsinkable” Albany State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2014. While at Albany State, he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., embracing the fraternity’s principles of leadership, scholarship, and service.

Following graduation, Ray began his legal career as a Paralegal in the United States Air Force Reserve before enrolling at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2015. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2020, was admitted to the District of Columbia Bar in 2021, and became licensed to practice law in Texas in 2025.

From 2021 to 2026, Ray served as an active-duty Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force. During his military career, he held several leadership positions, including Chief of Civil Law, Chief of Adverse Actions, Chief of Military Justice, and Victims’ Counsel. In these roles, he advised military leadership on legal and administrative matters, managed military justice proceedings, represented victims of crime, and ensured compliance with federal law and military regulations.

Following the completion of his military service, Ray transitioned into personal injury law, where he is dedicated to advocating for individuals and families who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Guided by the principles of integrity, service, and justice, he is committed to providing compassionate representation and pursuing the best possible outcomes for every client he serves.
